Old EMC hailers use a specialized, high-capacity wire that I would love to use for a project. The mutants in Mount Tam still use this hailer model, so go retrieve some of them for me.

At Mount Tam crash site, just past the ERep Soldiers, there is a lone truck in the dirt. Three mutants spawn from the rear. A well placed grenade takes them all out in one explosion (as soon as the door opens toss the grenade on the ground behind the truck). There is also enough time between spawns for your grenade to recharge. Quite a bit of loot drops from them too. Easy as takin' wire from a mutant!

"Hotshot: Desperate Times" is the fastest way to get this. Should only take about 30 seconds total.

Definitely the fastest way is The Crash Site. About 8-10 mutants spawn every 10 secsafter killing them.

The contract says Northern Mount Tam. I found that mutants in Bloodbath Gorge amd the Delta Bunker areas work well for this.
