Original Thread: Mav's Guide to Weapon Bonus Rolls and More

Weapon damage is calculated from the base damage from the weapon, any bonus rolls it has, the rarity of the weapon and the Weapon Power Rating of the weapon.

Calculation

TODO

Bonus Rolls

  • x1.01-x1.05 (Mastery Roll - All Rarities)
  • x1.05 Damage (Rare Roll - Blue)
  • x1.10 Damage (Legendary Roll - Orange)

Rarity Damage Boost

Since Patch 1.105, all weapons in the game, new ones and existing, recieve a Damage increase based on their rarity. Higher the rarity, higher the Damage.

  • Green weapons - 3% Damage increase
  • Blue weapons - 6% Damage increase
  • Purple weapons - 10% Damage increase
  • Orange weapons - 15% Damage increase

Note: - BMGs do not get a Damage increase with rarity

Weapon Power Rating Damage Boost

Weapon Power Rating is determined by the EGO Rating of the player that the weapon is created for. The higher a Weapon Power Rating the higher damage it does.

Falloff DMG

The distance from your target may determine the damage you do.

i got one question, i got an SMG with legendary rarity, and i got a same SMG with a rare rarity, but how come the Rare SMG has atleast 75 damage more than the Legendary SMG ?

What EGO Rating is the weapon for? also any nano effects on it?

Are they the same PR? Power rating on a weapon, as well as many other factors, such as class or ammo type (nano-effect), et al., determine the final DPS output for a weapon. Also, I believe everything is scaled based on your PR too.

Excuse a n00b questions, but I have not found an answer for it...

 - These bonuses, are they calculated into the value of DMG that are stated in the weapon (read: the value being the total dmg) - or are they added "on top" of that DMG-value that is stated on the weapon?

The DMG value that is visible on the weapon is the total DMG of the weapon after the rarity and power rating bonus has been applied.
