A member of the forums uncovers a new requirement for a Patron Pass to access Support Live Chat

A member of the forums today discovered that they couldn't access Support Live Chat because they hadn't made a purchase within the lat 30 days.

The message they received was:

Status: Canceled
You must have a purchase within the last 30 days to access Live chat. Please click the Request Email Response button below.

Scapes took to the forums shortly after and clarified:

 This is a new change to our live chat to match with Defiance's transition to free-to-play. That said, the change occurred a bit earlier than we anticipated, hence the lack of an announcement about it. Players with active Patron status should also have live chat access.

Again, apologies for failing to announce this one ahead of time.

Scapes then announced that they are reverting the live chat change while they work on communication for the future. It will still happen but will be less of a suprise next time.

 We've synced up with our Support Team and we'll be reverting live chat to its previous policy while we work out the communication around this change in service. This change will still happen in the near future but we'll have an announcement about it in advance of the change as was always the plan.
