Friday October 25, 2013 the Defiance Dev team streamed a play and Q&A session on the Trion Worlds Twitch channel.

News

To celebrate Halloween Plague Sieges are returning next Wednesday, October 30, 2013. It will have the same scoring system as Volge Sieges.

Volge Sieges will remain in the game.

There will be a small patch on Saturday.

Extra Life Vendor

Special vendor that will have something available for all levels of players. Medical themed weapons 10% more powerful than any other weapon on a vendor as well as shields.

Epic Tier Mods

New store item sells a box of epic tier mods.

Questions

Graphics boost for PC clients

We do have high def textures for all of the things, such as trailers. I can't remember if that is an option for DLC 2 or if they had to hold on to it because the danger of making people who didn't want those textures spent forever downloading. I'll double check on that.

Epic drops in co-ops

I thought you could get epics, I'll have to check on that. Legendary is totally on Lockboxes.

Faction vendor items

We haven't done a pass on updating faction weapons. We are planning to work on that. We need to figure out what to do with self-revive as some people find them useful.

DLC 2

Some Arkbreaker art will be shown off on Monday as well as an announcement.

Single Player Missions co-op

Any of them individually can be replayable, but also in a group.

Side Missions Replay

No way currently to replay the side missions. They would rather get newer more story centric missions in the game than having people driving on side missions.

Co-op Campaign Update

Free content with the Arkbreaker patch.

Freight Yard Wait Time

We found out what is wrong, and we are re-doing how our quickmatch works so that it does a better job at putting people into larger matches. Will arrive in DLC 2 patch.

Social systems and clans

Lots of inconsistancies attempting to fix in their social systems. Big update coming to clans called Clan Progression in which activities contribute to your clans experience which increases your rewards that you get from them.

Mod Boxes

We are looking at bringing back mod boxes, but we aren't looking at bringing back the Tier 2 Mod Boxes.

Crafting System

We will include some aspect of crafting in the future. It's a fundamental part of the item chase in an open world game.

Salvage Matrix

It's a modification system, but it doesn't make that experience sexy. No way to see at a glance how mods can fit into weapons, something they want to address.

Banks

We are not presently looking at bank or shared account bank.

Keycodes cap

Going to keep the cap at 75, it is meant to encourage you to go to the vendor.

Snow

I would like to have snow in Defiance, but it's hard.
