Defiance 3.2: Supreme Weapons - Patch Notes

The 3.2 patch introduced a Supreme tier of weapons, allowed re-rolling of rarity bonuses, added private warmaster instances, a new Shrill enemy, a weekly arkforge cap, the Sting jackpot weapon and more.

FEATURES

SUPREME WEAPONS

  • A new tier of rarity is now available for your weapons! 
  • Supreme weapons drop from top tier bosses in expeditions and can be obtained by upgrading one of your currently encrypted legendary weapons with Arkforge in the salvage matrix.
  • All current and future naturally looted legendary weapons can be upgraded to supreme. The exception to this are DLC 2 Arkbreaker weapons (obtained from the warmaster). We are working on a system that will allow these to be upgraded in the future.
  • The chance of success for upgrading an encrypted legendary to a supreme will be 5%. More Arkforge can be added to increase this chance, however the cost goes up more the higher you go.
  • Supreme weapons will gain a damage boost and add an additional Supreme bonus.
  • Older bonus weapons (pre-patch) will instead roll from the current Epic bonus rolls instead of the supreme table for their additional Supreme bonus.
  • Supreme weapons have a rare chance to drop from Expeditions at tier 30+ and round 8+. Each different Expedition has different supreme named weapon drops.

RARITY BONUS REROLL SYSTEM!

  • A new system has been implemented that allows players to reroll one of their rarity tier bonuses for an Arkforge cost. This option is available via the salvage matrix. Once you have selected a rarity tier to reroll, the item will be locked to that tier, and you will only be able to reroll that tier going forward
  • We've also added a feature in the salvage matrix that allows you to go back to the original rolls a weapon had, if you are unhappy with the overall changes to your weaponusingthereroll feature.
    • DLC 2 Arkbreaker weapons cannot currently use the reroll feature. We are working on a system to allow these to be rerolled in the future.

PRIVATE INSTANCES

Players can now choose to create their own arkbreak instance (Major currently, Minors will be coming soon!) and invite their friends and clanmates. This will have a Hunter Requisition cost for the creator of the instance, and will prevent other players from joining your Warmaster instance without your permission!

THE SHRILL

A new enemy has appeared in Silicon Valley. This new mysterious enemy can be found in Silicon Valley. Check it out, and keep your eyes peeled for more information coming up about this new threat in Defiance!

GAME UPDATE

ARKFORGE CAP

  • Added a weekly cap to Arkforge obtained via events in game. 
  • The cap does not include Arkforge from lockboxes, daily and weekly rewards, or Arkforge purchased from the store. 
  • Patrons are exempt from the cap.
  • The cap is currently set to 500 per week.
  • If you go over the cap, a red display will indicate that you have reached the cap in your chat window and you will no longer gain Arkforge from events.
  • If you are a patron, and your patron status lapses, the cap will be set to 0/500 when that happens and you will start adding to it. If you become a patron again, the cap will be removed.

EPIC BONUSES

  • Updated the possible epic bonuses that weapons can generate to remove some of the more unpopular options and add new bonuses. Only newly created weapons after this patch are affected.

BIT STORE AND SERVICES

  • Sting has replaced the Warmonger as the Jackpot item in the Premium Elite and Elite lockboxes! Get this limited time Tachmag Pulser weapon in the Defiance store or at a lock box vendor near you!


CONFLICT SITES

  • Sutro Tower Conflict Site – Adjusted respawn timing and added varying spawn locations for respawning waves.
  • KTAM Power conflict site – fixed reusable consoles so they no longer spawn mobs infinitely.

WEAPON CHANGES

  • Newly created low EGO guns will now start with at least 1 mod slot unlocked.
  • Weapon damage bonuses following a critical kill are now functional again.

EXPEDITIONS

  • Bosses for expeditions now drop loot via war chests.
  • Adjusted locations of enemies in boss encounters for the Heaven Sent Expedition.
  • Improved enemy paths and room flows for the Heaven Sent expedition.
  • Haryo Enforcers in the Heaven Sent expedition now come in both Electric and Syphon flavors.
  • Fixed Enar voice over for the Heaven Sent expedition – he now speaks through a radio!
  • War Below should always pick mutants.
  • Stolen Purpose should always pick Raiders.
  • The expedition timer will once again countdown while players are offline.
  • Fixed a bug that would allow more than 4 players at a time in an expedition.

JACKPOTS

  • The innate bonus for jackpot weapons has been increased to +5% damage, +5% fire rate, +5% magazine size, -5% reload time, and -5% recoil.

UI UPDATES

  • Adjusted some store text to better convey the descriptions for certain items.
  • Chip Pullers are now listed in the Character Stats screen.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed a few problems with the minimap’s visibility after logging in or entering an instance – This issue is still present for the Warmaster. We are working on that!
  • Altered the drop chance of Converter mods.
  • Adjusted some road pieces in San Francisco along the road from the Fork towards Bathhouse that were causing improper collision.
  • Corrected the accuracy on some Mobile Adjustment Scope V mods to be -0.50 instead of -0.40.
  • Corrected the accuracy on some Mobile Adjustment Scope V mods to be -0.50 instead of -0.40.
  • Corrected the falloff distance on some Persistent Thruster V mods to be +14 instead of +11.
  • Corrected the recoil on some Recoil Dampener V mods to be x0.75 instead of x0.80.
  • Fixed a problem causing Armor Perforator cyber chips to not apply their armor penetration effect properly.
  • Corrected the effect values of the Armor Perforator and Radiation Intensifier chips. Radiation ,Intensifiers have the stronger effect as they only work on Radiation nano weapons.
  • Northstar Flare and Northstar Blaze will now generate masteries appropriate to explosive weapons. This doesn’t affect existing weapons until they are re-mastered.
  • Fix for Major Summon Arkfalls in progress from being ended prematurely .
  • ...And Taxes is now no sell/no trade.
  • Fixed a bug where sometimes if a 4th mod of a synergy that affects an EGO ability was removed, the weapon would not lose the 4th synergy bonus.
  • Fixed a bug where adding a mod to an epic weapon that has a legendary bonus assigned in data will unlock the legendary bonus on the weapon even though the weapon is still only epic.
