Warmaster Armor Health Indicators Live

In remarkably short time the request from players for an Armor Health Indicator for the Warmaster has become a reality.I love seeing community desired changes worked on.

See below for images of the indicator and my experience with them.

The destructable armor points are all labeled "Armor Hardpoint" similar to the Monolith, the original call was to have each of the labels informative for example "Back" and "Left Arm". However with two on each arm, this probably wasn't feasible.

From my experience the back is always the first to go, it is made easier by the fact that there aren't two destructable bits there. Having two points on the arm splits the damage which frustrates me, I'd rather have a single target to shoot at on the arm.

With the new indicators I saw a much more focused fire on the back and it came down pretty quickly, I am used to failing the Warmaster so I didn't mind that we lost.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the design encourages multiple Armor Hardpoints breaking to increase the damage dealt on the Warmaster health itself. I've not had the chance to be in an encounter where we've taken off another piece of armor, the current culture and experience of players leans heavily towards destroying the back and then the health and timer race.

What are your experiences with the Warmaster? Do you like the new indicators? Are you still sore about the timers on the locks?

I like the armor health bar change but I wonder if they realize they broke the WM event now. I play alot on ps3 and since event lock update I have called down and participated in many WM events and have yet to win one, basically due to low number of players for a couple reasons first of which is most feel it is a waste of time second is DC issue just trying to enter. By the time a player dashboards out and back in the entry is gone or the monkey is out and dancing around with way to few of players to win so what's the point?

I've played against the Warmaster 4 times in total, on the last time we broke his back armor but we still didn't kill him, why? Because so many noobs were still shooting his arms, I think the indicators will help prevent that, once everyone is on the same page I think it'll be easier :)

Anyone know what last nights EGO code is?

It is very hard to kill with everyone constrating their fire power on his back we just couldt take him down in the amount of time. Has anyone else had this problem or did you guys have success if so let me know? Also we had 25+ players each time.

The problem with the Warmaster is that the lv of his armor scale depending on the amount of players in the battle.
Ive done WM many times, and a few of them we have been les than 10 players, and wehave done the same amount
of damage to him as in other fights were 24+ players attended.

"the design encourages multiple Armor Hardpoints breaking to increase the damage dealt on the Warmaster health itself"

The main issue with this, is the fact that not even +24 players are able to take 1 shield down, how is it then possible to
split all that damage into 3 possible damage points (Back, one of the hand x2).
You cant, its not posible with the current system at the moment, and im not talking about the WM itself.
Im referring to how anyone regardles of EGO rating or weapons are able to join and fight.
Half or more of the attending players have the complete wrong loadout, undergeared and just aiming to get that juicy XP and even looking to level their weapon types.
So having pretty much half the group at least, not contributing with anything. There is however something they DO contribute with, and its to raise the armor level of the boss and thus the difficulty of the whole fight, which ultimately ends up with a failed attempt 99% of the time.

So you see, itss nothing wrong with the boss being too hard or anything like that, its how the game mechanics is programmed to work and how unbalanced and contradictive the whole concept is.

But what do i know, im just part of that "minority" so my words are as important as a sutle fart in a hurricane storm.

I managed to see a Warmaster event recently in where all of his armour was blown away, I felt quite awkward seeing a naked Warmaster, but suffice to say... his health certainly seemed to drop a lot faster to the point where I thought it was a fluke.  So there may indeed be truth to the above information in regards to health taking a massive smack in the face once more armour points are destroyed.

My experience with the warmaster is limited to two encounters.

The first one, I somehow joined one that had 45 seconds left on the timer. Not much useful happened.

Second, I actually got to see the locks. We then proceeded to tickle him for 5 minutes and near the end managed to break his back armor off. Then he ran away.

I'm looking forward to trying again with the new hit indicators... and it would probably be nice to manage into a PUG with more than 7 other ark hunters.
