Today was the day! Belle tossed her honey blond hair with a single nod of her pretty head as she revved the motor of her White Challenger preparing to do the Happy Pow Farm race. Today, Belle would prove all the naysayers wrong, all the people who claimed she was the worse driver in the Bay Area, and there were many who did so. Sure, she had trouble backing out past the white fence of her trailer park and into the parking area of The Crater, and sometimes missed a bar patron by inches, but she had never hit a miner or rancher yet, although she had clipped that ark hunter once...or maybe twice, but he was an obnoxious drunk and pinched her butt every time he had a chance!

Belle revved the powerful V-8 engine again as her wide blue eyes stared unblinking in front of her! Yep, today was the day she would show them all. It was true that every time she left Topnotch Tool Works, she would hit the guardrail of the entry ramp two or three times, but it was a twisty windy thing. Not her fault at all, just poorly designed!

The starting signal was given, and Belle pressed the accelerator pedal hard to the floor of the car. The Challenger roared into action - backwards! Belle's car slammed into and through the side of the farm's barn before she hit the brake pedal. Belle dropped her forehead to the top of the steering wheel and uttered a deep audible sigh. A single POW wandered by, and grunted at her through the open driver’s window.

"Who asked you?" Belle yelled at the startled animal, who quickly ran off.

I hope Rosa can hammer that out, Belle thought to herself as she pondered the probable damage to the back of her Challenger's rear end, adding as her rose petal lips turned down in a pout, I guess this isn't the day I show them.
