opaning note (( this is a rant mostly. my voiceing my opinions of a broken system that has been in place since june. i dont exspect most if any to read it fully. or even to get comments on it. i desided to post this more to just get it off my chest. and out there. ))
so ill start by saying that i dont agree 100% with the old or new forum policys that the late morgan created and posted on the forums. there 0 tollarance policy has seen many great names removed from the forums since the release of the great nad late tricks rude comment that set off a mass majority of the old vet community.
so on to the rant.
as one of the many faces that once was on the forum. and now am not due to COC stating that once your banned you can never create a new account even if your useing it for the good of the game by creating posts related to the PTS tests that are allways run or by pertisapating in the forums little events that go on.
lets break down why some. my self included have been banned from the forum. some of the well to know names that have vanished. suddenly . where removed from the forum for " toxcisity " or as iv allways liked to put it speaking our mind. such as reb has done and my self have done many times when we see an injustice that is happaning on the forums or in the game that is not being taken care of. the bigesto f thes. as stated was. and still is the comment that trick dempsy posted on the forum about the majority of the people on it. being a minority. and that in few words. said we didnt matter and that we the people that had been playing the game for longer then a year.
where now playing it wrong.
in responce to this a large majority of players that had been around from the start where banned when thy questioned, repamanded, or demanded some form of compinsation for this comment, and it stil stings many players today to bring it up
onto the topic of this small rant.
i my self find it unfair that alot of thes players where removed becuse of there comments. the change in COC came within 24 hours of the comment made by trick. becuse he had managed to anger the whole community. and in doing so. to cover up his mistake trion issued a swift and quick change in policy so thy could removed the players that where voiceing this anger.
my self included in that. for makeing a mean joke that trick would never work in the gameing world agian and that all devs and staff would one day move on to bigger and better companys to bigger nad better things (( odd how 4 months short of a year after this comment. he is no longer creative lead. it seems his contract is finaly up and hes been repleaced. ))
but due to that sudden change we lost a great deal of avid players that spoke up for the community and worked hard to make it better. shortly after my ban i will admit with one of the 15 emails i own i made a new account. wich is a violation of the COC witch says that if you are banned that you can not cercomvent it.
but the new policy thats been around since the day trick screwed up. it is no posable that even if you set a toe out of line that one can become banned from not only the forum. but the game as well.
i my self have not been banned from the game yet. (( atleast not for more then 24 hours witch was done the first time i got banned from the forums )) but it has and does happen. i can not give names becuse i have none mainly becuse thes players have said in there own right F trions games and have left. to bigger nad better companys.
sure there are still some that linger. but in my own beleafe. (( and it is purly mine own )) that some of thes banned players thath ave spent so much time working hard on playing this game nad spenind money on it . might just be behind some of thes Ddos attacks that happen from time to time. (( witch is not that hard to do if u know how or where to find the right tools to do so. (( u can find them on goggle. litterly. if u know what to input. and can find worse tools on the deep net. if u know how to access it, back onto my rant ))
i feel that with all thes resent and past bans its a great injustice agenst alot of well known players and people that have worked hard in the community. some have also left of there own free will due to thes bannes. but at the same time. alot of bad people that need to be banned are still not banned.
case in point would be blue punisher. the guy has a strong hate for nearly all people on the forum that speak there minds and help oithers. or people that dont agree with his point of vew or dont want to see it. and yet. he somehow has managed for nearly 2 years now with posts more toxic then a simple joke has managed to keep posting in the forum. even after personaly attacking other people. (( his most reasent attack one someone. was me. it seems iv become a bad word to him. becuse i never agreed with him and personaly never cared to listan to what he had to say becuse he spoke out his ass insted of his mouth more offten then not. )) by useing my name to make a empty point like many times befor. slightly sad this guy would use me as an exsample when im unable to even remotely defend my self on the main forums anymore. and can now only sit back read it and think of the mean things id like to do to them in person if i ever met them face to face.
there are many others simmaler to blue punisher that are in the same boat. but have calmed down over there time on the forum. and are not the monsters this guy is. let alone as rude or disrespectful he has been and is .
over all the new policy nad the old are injustices to me. there COC is so openly a cover of trions own ass that there leting the trolls skate by and throwing away the die hard players. that have put blood sweat and tears into this game. protecting standing up for. and still even when banned calling it one of there all time games. that thy enjoy and play.
in ending.
most wont or will understand this rant and post or will get lost in my random way of thinking and speaking. im sory for that. so ill summarise.
the COC of the forum needs to be changed and revised. the list of banned people needs to be looked over revisited and skimmed though and the bannes on some of the none troll saporters of the game. need to be given back there rights to post. and the trolls need to be found smashed and banned permanitly.
finaly note.
byond being banned from the forum. or not being banned. thy need to find a better way to do a ban appeal for people that are seeking out one (( my self and many others are going though there slow empty prosess )) over the past 2 weeks since i started the rigarus game of trying to get my own ban lifted. i have sent more then 14 letters to trion useing the first account that i ever lost. and was banned in in hopes that i would get a reply or answer that was not an automated responce from there system.
my personal beleave is that thy do not have a real person sifting though thes emails sent for ban appeals or even bother looking at them for that matter. (( the letters that are auto sent say thy will reply in 72 hours its been 2 weeks with no rply for me and 3 months for someone else )) i beleave that someone opens the community email once a month . clicks check all. and deletes them all. without ever opening them at all. (( witch wouldnt saprise me in the least)) next to that the removel of the support system from in game (( alowing you to post and report bugs and people )) as well as the removel of the site support being not free now (( must make a purtus of some kind in the store to even have help from live chat support )) i
it leads me to beleave that trion dose not want. anyone to play there game. but still wants us to give them our money.
i dont know. all of this has been on my mind for some time. thought i might share it here. and someoen else will eather have like thoughts on it. or will tell me im a moron. in the end. its now out there. and i can rest easyer at night insted of it bothering me \

I guess you're right but maybe Trions has good reasons for doing this. Here are my posibilities: To protect the forum from other bad comments. To keep the popularity and not lose there loyal fans.
I'm trusting Trion even if myself i get banned. But i will still do 10% ressearch about that.
I hope that i have make the right decisions. I know that a lot of you will disagree.

or lucent for her wounderfull song that beged with trion to stop destroying a game that over all was good from the start.
its my beleaife that thy did this becuse thy didnt want the bad press. but there was one flaw. thy dont take into consideration how strong a single voice is. one bad review from reddit or from 4chan can break a game companys game in a heartbeat. if someone supplys them with a liable reason to hate the game. both sites have millions of users on them that are not scared to take down a game company. 4chan being the bigest one of all.
at a single word. a single line of words. or even a paragraph of words. and you have millions of pissed off users across the world that could of been fans all knocking down the walls that are put up and permantly destroying a games reputation.
thus far trion has dodged this bullet but if one disgruntle player such as my self or anyone else desides that enough is enough. trion will lose its player base faster then thy can say " nerf "
every time i log into my reddit or every time i go onto 4chan i look back at all the crap trick did on defiances dev team all the people that got banned by the forum mods. and all the people that have lost out on this game after waisting money on it. and think to my self how simple it would be to start a boycot that would see no end.
takeing down a game company now adays is easy. when you have the tools readaly to do it. and theres nothing a game company can do. when theres millions of users. out for blood becuse thy screwed over so many people and players.
since my ban i have loged into defiance only a few times resently. the last times ill be loging in for some time will be dueing the event thats going on. after that i wont be entering the game for some time till i have a place set up where i can play games or be online once more.
i debate befor i go if i should release all the infermation that i have icumulated over the last few years about trion and about defiance. and if i should let the world see just how much trion screws there player base.
its also my more resent beleafe that the Ddos attacks that trion is feeling on there games. comes from the player base that thy screwed over. millions of users are online each day. millions of people know the net. but only a fraction of them know how vast it is. iv exsplored and dug deep into what is known as the deep net. i have found places and sites. that are unlisted by normel means. that freely give out Ddos lessons. aswel as the hardwear and softwhere to do so for a small price. hackers of the world have there eyes on defiance. have there eyes on trion. and Ddos them becuse thy want to. but imagen if you will. someone with as much info as me or any other player of this game. giveing all thy know. to the deepnet. and giveing them the simple line of " the company needs to be broought down " and that deep net turning on them. just for the fun of it.
50% or more of hackers that Ddos do it. just becuse thy can. give them a mild reason to. such as corupted develipers or a unjust system that has been put down apone players by the devs or some other form of reason. and once the flame is lit. theres no puting it out.
lizerdsquade a nitorius hacker group right now. sells there skills for 50$ usd to anyone that will pay for it. imagen what would happen if someone better then them for bored. and said " this is our new target "
screwing over players . banning log time players and vets, or even turning a game to P2W can triger this.
trion has a long way to go befor thy can recover from the screwups of the past. and thy need to do it sooner insted of latter. becuse with the path there walking. there allready on the tight rope its only a matter of time befor thy fall.
and when thy do. ill be standing there to say " i told you so "
oh and a minor update. 2 mounths now well nearly working on that bann appeal and still nothing. not a word from them.

I have to agree, Jaded. I was perma-banned from the forums after commenting on Reb's new account posting explaining what happened to him. For the life of me I can't think of one thing I said in that post that would have been worthy of banning, other than saying that devs (and this was used in a general context, not at Trion specifically) needed to grow a thicker skin if they were going to go into this business. This was my first ban in an Internet forum ever. And I was there at the beginning of the AOL chat rooms and in the thick of things during the Flame War Follies. What Lucent got banned for was even more nonsensical (check out her YouTube channel - she talks about in the comments of her "song for Defiance."
Quite clearly, someone at Trion had it out for a group of us vets based upon our prior criticisms of how they handled the game around the DLCs, and 1.5 in particular. They just formulated an excuse to be able to get rid of us. the Vets of Defiance are a liability because we know the truth of how poorly Trick handled this game and the playerbase (thank God he is gone, but the damage has been done, unfortunately). We were there and supported the game from Day 1 and played the game for the sheer enjoyment it brought and the design and mechanics that were built in during that first year of the game's life. Once Trion decided to "End of Nations" (i.e. NGE) the game, we became a liability instead of an asset to the game, in Trion's eyes at least.
I hope that LoCarb doesn't follow down the same path as Trick, but I fear it is too late to turn the ship around. Instead of making Defiance the premier game for cross-media content, Trion and SyFy have completely destroyed the one thing unique to Defiance and turned the game into a turnstile MMO, and it will only suffer because of that in the long term.

it was a rendentation of trick and other devs talking in it one of the devs was talking to trick telling him that thy where moveing on to biger nad better games. and tricked asked why he wasent. the devs answered him with a " well remeber that comment that you made about minoritys on the forums. back in june. ya it seems other companys dont want you becuse of that. sorry trick youll never work any where in the gameing industry again befcuse of it. well good bye "
in short there calling a joke an attack on one of them top things. well heres a joke. by banning players there losieng money. money that goes into there pockets insted of into this game. money that is brought in by there whales. money that i and millions like me . can swiftly and quickly make stop flowing.

its allready been proven that the game whent F2P so that thy could draw in more people with money beuse no one that was a B2P was puting money into the game anymore. no one wanted to. after the failed way thy implamented so much of the game. and failed to deliver REAL DLCS (( horse armour people horse armour that was all the DLCS where )) thy saw that there was no money in there game anymore. no one wanted to spend anything becuse we had all gotten dicked around enough allready and where tiered of puting money into the game. hell it took me a year befor i bought all the DLCs and even then . i only payed for 1 out of my own pocket. the rest where bought and traded for with other people. shows how much i saported my game. and shows how much i saw that this game was just money hungry befor i started playing.
but i regress this topic was ment to be about the unfair banning of so many my self included. and not about the horrable way this game is run, or maybe it was ment as both, after all thy both tie in to one another, quite well, anyway.

seems trion is now (( im asuming seeing as i am now BANNED from the game for 24 hours while i wright this )) considering Defiance data a place that other people can post and speak freely is part of there forums and or under there juristiction to violate people that play the game for speaking there mind here.
1 full week after the account i used to contact a dev so i could access the PTS to have my charicter on there updated, the account used was banned that same day. i made it. add in also that friday of last week. i lost full access to the forums them selfs. and have had no contact with them since. and have sent repeated letters to the defiance Email that is said to be the one that is ment to take appeals come to find out theres another that i need to Email but didnt know about. its called [email protected] for anyone that needs it so stop bothering with [email protected]
anyway. a full week after this i have now got a 24 hour ban from accessing the game. so im going to put it out there in full writing where every one can see it any time thy want.
someone on the staff for the forum is abusing there power. there over steping the COC and are abusing there right to ban people aswell as punish them. and this needs to be stoped. since the ban on my last forum account i stoped playing this game day in and day out like i have for the past few months. the reason why is shitty staff like the one that keeps violating me while im not even accessing there systems.
if this keeps up actions will have to be taken. /b/ help me if actions must be taken.

(( entire clans are down to skelaton crews becuse thy dont wany anything to do with this game anymore becuse of the bad desisions trick made and also the path that this game is still following. witch is to shove the bit store down every ones gullets and force us to spend money we dont have and cant spend on items we shouldnt need to do content that should be 100% free )) others like my self have set there toons aside. and said " nope not going to even play for now "
with things changing in my life in may i cant waist my time with a game thats not worth the mony i put into it and i wont. i can bootleg games that i want to play insted of waist money on a game that is on its downword spiral into the world of failed games. like many others.

defiance. will die. the vet numbers will dip to low for the game to stay runing. the only people that will remain are the F2P players that are in it now. and a large majority of the smart forum goers that are still over on the defiance forums. will leave as well. (( fyi thy still have not fixed the spam. and there new " check this box "" i am not a robot " " spam checker. is able to be gotten around quite easy. oh and so is there socalled IP ban you can proxy around it quite easy or even TOR net past it o.o sad vary vary sad ))
even befor this new update has been released its stered up enough descusions of the forums from long time forumites and players that all of them are saying the same things " its not going to go over well. it needs to be changed. thy need to change it befor it hits live. it needs to be ajusted befor it hits live. it needs it needs it needs " oh thy hear the needs thy do. but are thy going to do what needs to be done ? nope.
thy have said a few times now that you will get one hunter Rep a week. unless you have a patron pass. if you have a patron pass youll get 1 a day. the community demands minamum 3 a week. (( more then enough to atleast do a private instance of the WM )) there not going to do it. its not good for the company to give something that should be free out for free. thy want all of you and me and anyone else to pay for it.

we spent out money when we bought the game and DLCs (( as vets )) we earned the right to get free content, (( even though most of our content that we got with DLCs can be accessed by a F2P that has none of the DLCS if invited or if thy get to the site in time : arkbreaker : to join in on it anyway )) anyway im deveating from the point.
i fought my fight. i payed my dues. now its a matter of finding a game that is better , that comes out this year. (( devision oh how i cant wait to see how well you do after being delayed a year so that you could be released at the peek of perfection ))
only time will tell how much longer this game will last. my perdiction stands. ill keep playing. after all i have nothing better to do with my free time.

Tripped across your rant after posting my reply pm. I had no problem following your "rambling" rant. Funny you mentioned a certain someone, as I don't even bother reading anything they post anymore.
Having played for six months now and experiencing things first hand, I have a much greater appreciation of what you vets have endured. My hat is off to those of you that have not only endured these atrocities, but managed to keep playing.
