There was no developer livestream today, however Kiwibird has posted a selection of answers to community questions over on the forums.

  1. Can we expect long term PTS usage again?
    Yes. Phantasie has actually been working on this for a few weeks now.
  2. Do you have an update for the Free-to-Play launch for the consoles?
    We actually plan to have an official announcement on this for Sony next week. Stay tuned.
  3. Can we get some sort of grace period to log back in, and be placed on the same shard, so we are not dumped onto another shard when we are doing incursions, sieges, or arkfalls?
    Phantasie created a task and talked to the engineer who would handle this. We will cache the last server you were on, and if you log back in within X minutes (likely 15-20), that cached server will be favored when we choose which one to put you on.

    It shouldn't be that difficult to put in, but there is no ETA just yet.
  4. I assume you have a max server pop of some sort, and that if the server is full you will still get put on another server. Could you have some sort of soft cap, and hard cap? For example, if the person has been disconnected for less than the grace period, they only observe the hard cap. If the user has been logged off for more than the grace period, then they observe the soft cap. That way it will be far more likely to get back on a server under load.
    Yes, we do. Without getting into too much of the technical details, we essentially have 3 thresholds for Game Server population
    - Minimum Population – This is what we want to get a server population up to so that there are enough players for events.
    - Ideal Population – This is what we would like to get the server population had as a balance between performance/gameplay. Once the population reaches this level, we will no longer route players to this server. The only way to get to the server is via goto friend, etc.
    - Maximum Population – We do not allow the servers to get over this population.
  5. How about a Fast Travel point near Happy Pow Farms?
    It’s not that hard to add fast travel points, fortunately. Phantasie has created a task for a designer to add this.
  6. Will there be any more in-game contests or community events from you guys like the kill x enemies during the first season?
    We have some great ideas in the works to expand upon the bonus weekends that we have had so far. You may have seen the Xbox Bonus Reputation recently! Look for more in the future. Once the show finishes for the season, we plan on implementing some completely different events that will break the Bonus weekend trend. We Look for more details in the future!
  7. Will there be any more console achievements added to the game, and could we see Steam achievements?
    Yes, we certainly do have plans to add more achievements and trophies to the game. We would have liked to have had them for the Season 2 content, but unfortunately the deadline for that content was not met. Unfortunately, there are limits to how many and how often we can release them, which we need to take into account when creating these.

    Steam Achievements are on our “Wanted” list, but they are not scheduled yet.
  8. Can we expect a Balance pass on weapons anytime soon?
    Please refer to this post from Ragnork, one of the designers who handles weapon balancing!
  9. When will you fix the glitch where the Cerberus is leveling up for itself and not awarding EGO points and also not updating the pursuit were you need to reach lvl 5 ?
    This bug was assigned out and is currently being worked on. You should see it fixed in a future patch.
  10. Are there plans to revitalize PvP?
    We are currently working on revamping the PvP rewards to have a similar time/reward ratio to PvE.
