Defiance Season 3 Guide - New Store Lock Boxes

Season 3 of the show is near, and so is the Season 3 Update on Defiance. There is an early version with some additions on PTS already. The Season 3 Update includes two new store lockboxes.

Spinal Tap Crate

Limited Time box contains 1 epic or better weapon and 3 mods from rare to legendary (at least 1 epic or better), all with the limited Spinal Tap Mod synergy that turns it all up to 11! Chance at the Spinal Tap Jackpot weapon: Souleater (Canker)

Rather than seasonal lock boxes, Defiance goes over to a "rotation" system for lock boxes. The Spinal Tap Crate is the first of its kind. Following lock boxes will follow the same principles:

A fixed set of base weapons all with a unique synergy
The new crates can contain mods up to legendary
One jackpot weapon which changes after 2 weeks
Crates are only around for a month (so 2 jackpot weapons during that rotation)

Weapons out of the Spinal Tap Crate all have the Spinal Tap Synergy:

[2]: -11% reload
[3]: +11% Fire Rate
[4]: +11% Lifesteal

Base Weapons in the Spinal Tap Crate are:

FRC Berserker
FRC Quick Repeater
FRC SAW
VBI INF-3 Canker
VOT Blaster
VOT Tachmag Pulser

The first jackpot item is the Souleater (A Canker variant):

Premium Elite Lock Box

Contains: 4 rare or better weapons and shields (At least 1 epic+ item). Guaranteed premium currency reward (Arkforge, Hunter Requisitions, Chip Pullers or Ark Keys) and 1 Consumable item or up to 100 additional Arkforge.

* May contain a Charge Blade

** Improved chance to drop current jackpot legendary!

The new Premium Elite Lock Box replaces the Elite Lock Box in the store.

It has:

A lower price than the current Elite Lock Box
A higher chance at the current jackpot item (The jackpot drop chance for Elite Lock Boxes has not changed!)
Contains a premium currency (Arkforge, Hunter Reqs, Chip Pullers or Keycodes)
