Swords are non-tradeable except the Carving Knife.
Take a look at the weapon card, top left corner, the arrows indicate that they aren't tradeable.

Nope. The MK IIs are just upgrading the guns that used the old rarity bonuses to the new ones. The Carving Knife doesn't have rarity bonuses, so there's nothing to upgrade.
